  • "Footsteps" - The Poole Passion Play

    March 31, 2020  7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Parkstone United Reformed Church, 16 Commercial Rd, Poole BH14 0JW, UK

The Poole Passion has been resurrected into a NEW play for 2020 entitled "Footsteps".
Written by Ann Balaam, and directed by Ann Balaam and associate director Stuart Glossop, the new story follows a group of tourists visiting modern day Jerusalem, who upon reaching various sites asscociated with Jesus, receive flashbacks to the original events 2000 years ago.
The production incorporates original, emotive music composed by local musician and composer Richard McLester, plus lighting and projections by Poole media company Conical Sphere.
The play begins as always at Parsktone United Reform Church in Commercial Road, Lower Parkstone, with audiences once again close to the action. Then during an interval, the actors and audience take a short walk together to the spectacular Victorian church of St Peter's in Church Road, described as the most beautiful church in Dorset, for a dramatic finale and crucifixion scene.
For a taster of what has passed and what is to come, take a look at 'The Poole Passion Play' video on YouTube, with many powerful photos of past productions and Richard McLester's evocative music.
"Footsteps" will be performed from 31st March to 4th April 2020 in Lower Parkstone, Poole.

    Adults £9
    Children (age 5 to 16) £4.50
